Innovative solutions for homelessness

50 spacious apartments redefine urban living in Melbourne CBD.

Reshape Development played a key role role as the Development Manager for the "Make Room" project, a transformative initiative that repurposed a heritage CBD Archive building into 50 studio apartments for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This project showcases the power of collaboration between the public and private sectors, with key partners including Unison Housing, the City of Melbourne, and Homes Victoria.

The building features on-site wraparound support services and a rooftop garden, fostering a vibrant community space. The "Make Room" project, which won the UDIA Victoria Affordable Housing Award and was named Project of the Year, exemplifies innovative design and partnerships in addressing homelessness. It serves as a replicable model for future affordable housing solutions in cities around the world, offering a beacon of hope and support for those in need.
